Administrative Assistant
Colledge Redfern, a long established accountancy practice based on Pemrokeshire/Carmarthenshire borders.
This job will be based at our office near Whitland - SA34 OUT.
As you would expect all of the work is computer based. Our systems are fully up to date. Good computer skills are essential, and you will be trained to use the relevant applications software.

The ideal applicant will:
- Be well organised with good administrative and number skills.
- Be flexible and able to cope under pressure.
- Have good communication skills.
Duties will include:
- Communication with clients by telephone, letters and e-mail.
- Tracking the progress of work, and general office administrative duties.
- There is scope to broaden your role in the future.
- Assisting with maintaining computer accounting systems for clients - QuickBooks.
- Dealing with invoices and basic book-keeping.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Agreeing sales & bought ledger control accounts.
- Preparing payroll.
Profile and skills required:
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- IT competent and familiar with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel).
- Be thorough, precise and produce accurate work.
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience of working in an office environment.
- Good Numeracy skills.

Accountant
Accounts person required by Colledge Redfern, an established Chartered Certified Accountancy practice, with an interested and varied range of clients, located throughout the UK.
The job will be based at our office in Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire; however it will be necessary on occasions to travel to clients premises. This will involve staying away for, on average, two nights per month.
The role involves assistance with the preparation of; year end accounts, monthly management reports, payroll support, and tax work, for clients.
This is a full time job, although we may consider applicants who wish to work 4 days per week.
The skills required:
- Interest and aptitude in accounts work
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Good numeracy
- To be able to work well in a team
- To be able to, at times, work under your own initiative
- Be bright and confident
- Want to progress with a good established company
- A working knowledge of Sage and QuickBooks would be an advantage.
We would expect the ideal candidate to have already gained experience in accounts work. It is not necessary for the candidate to have already worked in a professional accountant’s office, but this would be an advantage, as would progress with professional exams.
