The CAT qualification is internationally recognized and highly regarded. It can lead to a challenging and rewarding career. Upon completion of the exams and required practical experience you will be able to apply to use the letters CAT after your name. Should you wish to pursue your career further, completion of the CAT Scheme allows you to move directly to Part 2 of the ACCA Professional Scheme exams. In addition, the ACCA’s unique partnership with Oxford Brookes University allows you to obtain a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Accounting upon completion of Part 2 of the Professional Scheme exams. Passing the Part 3 exams and gaining three years' relevant practical experience will lead to ACCA membership. Lifelong learning continues beyond membership through our portfolio of continuing professional development opportunities, including a bespoke MBA and a range of additional diplomas and certificates You must normally be aged 16 or above to register, but there are no formal academic qualifications necessary. If you have no academic qualifications, you will be expected to complete all three Levels of the Certified Accounting Technician examinations.
